The Ortofon Mono CG DI MkII cartridges provide an authentic method of playing back early vinyl recordings with a remarkable level of sonic accuracy and are designed to minimise groove wear on your precious vinyl.
The range is available in two versions. The CG 25 DI features a spherical-profile stylus, specifically designed for for the playback of early 25µm mono recordings. Identical in every other respect, the CG 65 DI is specifically designed for 65µm vinyl.
Both versions employ generator coils constructed from high-purity copper wire. They also provide a relatively high output of 1.5mV, which makes them suitable for use with a variety of medium-gain moving coil transformers or more sensitive phono stages.
Tailored for the requirements of serious collectors, these cartridges are a 'must have' for anyone with a reasonably large volume of early mono recordings.
